The NS - Closure Speed Control & Non-return Valve prevents backflow, protecting the pump from damage, and ensuring efficient operation, by allowing flow only in the intended direction. The valve remains open during normal pump operation and flow direction, but closes quickly when flow reverses. The final stage of closure occurs at an attenuated rate, dampening surges and preventing plug slamming. Both the slow closure speed and travel distance are fully adjustable for optimal performance.
